Forest Schools

This year we have access to our own outdoor wooded Forest School area, which has allowed us to expand our skills-based curriculum and offer new learning opportunities for our pupils.

Evolve now offer a safe and nurturing outdoor environment where we can create our own adventures whether it be exploring our environment and the impact we have on it or building dens where we can let our imaginations take us anywhere; all whilst learning important safety lessons and taking risks in a natural, inclusive environment.

Students have opportunities to participate in: fire building, cooking outdoors, using tools and natural materials to create designs, build dens and a variety of outdoor games.

Forest school is designed to be a long-term process and the benefits of it are huge for our children.  It can lead to an increase in self-belief and confidence, enthusiasm, independence, communication, problem-solving skills and emotional and mental wellbeing.
